Sometimes it's takes awhile to remember why getting up extra early and riding your bike is worth it.

Though #MtHamilton summit was clouded up the clouds broke while I was doing the glorious 18mi descent. Probably one of the top descents in the country, so so good.

Made it out of the desert and back to Cali. Just barely. Not a bad view to be welcomed with.

I thought I knew what to expect to see in the #LostCoast but zebra was certainly not one of those things.

We rode till dusk to get to #ShelterCove on Tues. Lots of elevation on tough grades with touring loads. At the end of the day we both agreed to say screw camping lets get a motel. Now onto the redwoods! #LostCoast #BikeTour

Fortunately the only part of the course I felt good on was right in front of the team tents, so at least I looked strong there. The only area where my 5yo Grifos would hook up. Moral of the story? Don't trust the weather man's "10%" when you pack your bag
